Crossbred & composite wool doesn't have to be ordinary ....

Lambs with ewes, Redbank FX

Change the game.

Don't let poor wool quality erode your profits

We help composite and crossbred sheep producers struggling with low wool value and increasing wool-related costs to increase their profitability by using Redbank FX (fine cross) genetics which can deliver a complete performance package without compromising production.

We think it should be okay to be extraordinary.

Lambing 2025 underway

Lambing commenced on the 10th June, and we had only just enough grass to stop trail feeding and allow ewes and lambs time to bond without chasing the feed cart.

Moving lambing back a couple more weeks this season helped, as there was a small amount of green grass around. Time will tell if we can acheive our target of >90% lamb survival, but it is looking good so far.

Twins are in mobs of 50 or less, and the triplets are in a mob of 20.

Is autosteer worth it for smaller croppers?

For the 2025 cropping season we increased our planting from 30ha to 120ha. We also put in an Svearverken autosteer system in our main tractor to assist us twith spraying, fertiliser spreading and seeding accuracy and fatigue.

This was a great investment and our spraying/seeding team (Jack) did a great job and could manager longer hours. I would recommend this to smaller farmers.

Joining ewe lambs - 2025 results the best ever

We acheived 78% conception rate and 134% scanning rate to ewe lambs joined on 2025. This was our best result to date and was due to excellent nutrition using standing crops and some barley grain through the hot, dry autumn.

We used standing lupins once grass dried off earlier than normal. This gave the young sheep a good feedbase so they could keep growing.
